Introduction

The purpose of this policy is to provide transparent and necessary information to all employees and clients of our organization about the donation procedure. On the other hand, it seeks to document and keep a record of the amounts donated, the groups benefited, and special discounts. The purpose of this policy is not only to contribute to the fulfillment of our mission and vision, but also to ensure that the procedure is governed by the values we proclaim in our company.

Definition and quantities

Donation is the act of giving funds or other material goods, generally for charitable reasons. In our specific case, the donations we make are measured as a percentage of production and represent about 1% of our total production. Subsequently, this number of goods is transformed into money to perform a concrete analysis and monitoring of amounts and destinations, in order to distribute them in the most balanced way possible.

Beneficiary selection procedure

The beneficiary selection procedure is very simple. The most important parameter to take into account when making decisions that support our social contribution objectives is to donate to those people who are in a clear situation of vulnerability or who need our products as an alternative or solution to problems in digesting cow’s milk.

Another establishment that receives a significant amount of our donations is a dining room located in the province of Santiago Del Estero. Those who go to this dining room are in a clearly vulnerable situation, hence our contribution initiative.

An interesting aspect in the beneficiary selection procedure that we must emphasize is that all members of the organization participate in deciding and defining the destination of our estimated percentage to donate. It goes without saying that in our country there is a large number of organizations, canteens, associations, etc., that could benefit from our donations, but unfortunately we cannot satisfy all of them. That is why any proposal for new destinations for donations is listened to, analyzed, evaluated and if it meets the established parameters, we all make the decision to start donating to that place.

Other benefits we provide

It is necessary to clarify that the activities described below do not respond to the concept of donation, but we do consider it pertinent to include this information in this document.

ALIMENTARIA CAPRINA S.R.L., has decided to grant special discounts to organizations for people suffering from autism. The only condition required is the presentation of a document that certifies and validates their activity. The discount is approximately 32%. On the other hand, our organization also decides to lend its facilities in case its employees or producers need them. The latter most frequently request the possibility of using our facilities since they do not have the adequate infrastructure to carry out certain activities. For example, the facilities have been requested for training activities, which in some cases were not even related to the tasks they carry out for the production of our products. The procedure is simple. The applicant must submit a request including the purpose for which the facilities will be used and management will analyze and communicate the final decision, based on the information in the proposal. In all cases so far, the facilities have been loaned.

Introduction

ALIMENTARIA CAPRINA S.R.L. has always been an organization whose goals are not only focused on economic aspects, but since its beginnings it has had motivations, objectives and dreams linked to social and environmental aspects. That is why, from the beginning of each relationship with each of the producers, some of these motivations and production conditions were communicated.

Target

One of the main motivations of our organization is to enrich the rural area of Cruz del eje, not only in economic development, but also in education and training so that young people can progress and develop professionally in different trades. In this way, the migration of inexperienced young people with few possibilities for professional growth and development from this area to the big cities would be avoided or at least diminished.

On the other hand, with regard to the production itself, the producers were informed and trained to keep the goats in the most natural state possible. Some of the conditions agreed from the beginning were: the goats will be free grazing, milking is done manually, and they are not given balanced feed. These conditions are still being fulfilled to this day and with increasing experience and knowledge.

Scope of application

This code is addressed to all our suppliers, of any kind. It is important for our organization to have the support and commitment of each and every one of our suppliers, to ensure how we want to act to achieve our goals, objectives and dreams. Suppliers must maintain a preventive approach to the challenge of environmental protection, adopt methods that benefit greater environmental responsibility and encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies. We will positively value those suppliers who demonstrate their commitment to the principles set forth in this code by accepting and complying with them. It should be noted that our suppliers will be held accountable for their social and environmental performance.

Adhesion process

    • In the case of incorporation of new suppliers, at the moment of their entry into the company by means of the acceptance of the contractual clause established for this purpose.
    • For those employees whose labor relations are already in force at the beginning of this Code, the procedure for their acceptance of the Code must be established.

Fundamental principles

This Code is based on ethical principles and values, including the following:

    • Teamwork: By this we understand the integrated effort of a group of people, with the best predisposition, attitude and energy, for the accomplishment of a project or the fulfillment of proposed goals.
    • Proactivity: This is understood as the ability to anticipate and have a vision of the future in order to act instead of reacting. To have the initiative to act.
    • Responsibility: We take advantage of the general nature of the word to identify ourselves not only as responsible individuals, but also as an organization. • Respect: Promote equality and respect among parts of the organization.

Commitment to human rights

ALIMENTARIA CAPRINA S.R.L. suppliers shall respect the fulfillment of internationally recognized human rights and ensure that they do not defraud or abuse them in their business operations. Therefore, all suppliers shall treat their employees with dignity and respect. Under no circumstances shall physical or psychological punishment, harassment of any kind, or abuse of power be permitted, respecting in any case their basic labor rights.

Commitment to the environment

We are concerned about the future of our planet and the need to protect and preserve our resources. We are committed to caring for the environment in the exercise of our activities. For this reason, we require the maximum implication and involvement of all the Code’s addressees through the search for efficiency in the equipment used, the energy consumed and the way in which waste is disposed of, always aspiring to achieve high standards of sustainability. Our commitment is focused on ensuring that our products are produced in a way that respects our environment.

To this end, we have decided to develop our activities with a firm commitment to preserve and respect the environment, based on the following principles:

      • Reduce the generation of waste, manage it properly and promote its reuse.
      • Train and inform personnel on environmental matters.
      • Accept from suppliers those alternatives that favor the environment.

Fight against corruption

The company strictly prohibits offering, making or consenting to the payment of bribes, facilitation payments or the granting of undue benefits of any nature in search of an advantage or profit. We must act at all times with integrity, honesty and transparency towards officials or governments, in line with the principles and values that our organization proclaims.
